Are you passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a vibrant learning environment? Oldham College is seeking a committedHead of Faculty for our Centre of Excellence Hair and Beauty Faculty,helping us achieve and maintain our vision of excellence in education and community service.
The candidate
Serving as a positive role model, you will lead by example and strive for excellence in all areas, collaborating with the Director to realise the vision and strategic objectives of the Faculty
Your effective leadership and management skills will help you with the coordination of Faculty staff and resources and help drive operational efficiency and nurture growth within our commercial salon
Your up to date industry knowledge will allow you to ensure that the Faculty’s curriculum offerings align with the needs of learners, employers, and the local community, helping you develop and implement innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies based on evidence-based research.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage Faculty staff, including recruitment, induction, professional development, and performance management.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and enterprise.
Drive excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment through exemplary leadership and support.
Coordinate Faculty operations effectively, including workload allocation, service delivery enhancement, and team performance optimisation.
Monitor teaching staff performance and implement action plans for improvement where necessary.
Oversee recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement, and progression of learners within the Faculty.
Collaborate with awarding bodies to ensure accreditation and adherence to college policies.
Ensure quality teaching, learning, and assessment through diverse strategies and materials.
Monitor and enhance the learner journey, including admissions, induction, communication, and progress reviews.
Foster positive cross-college relationships and promote effective collaboration.
Lead promotional activities and participate in program development and marketing initiatives.
Develop accurate curriculum planning and financial management within the Faculty.

£48,431 to £51,388 pa, plus £4000 responsibility allowance
