About the role
The Head of EU Sales will manage and lead the EU Sales Team, ensuring that all aspects and elements of our clients' bookings are successfully managed whilst driving performance against departmental objectives and KPI's.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage rotas and headcount for the EU Sales Team with 2 pods of agents.
Oversee team performance including KPIs, GM, Call Stats, Retention, CR.
Ensure all sales staff are tested and trained properly.
Management of all call backs and agents courtesy calls.
Booking checks on all bookings to ensure 100% accuracy.
Distribute enquiries to maximise conversion where appropriate.
Engage with the Learning and Development Team priorities.
Push key products and campaigns.
Assist all Sales Managers and Sales Specialists under their care.
Work to minimise margin erosion, promote best practice and QA.
Sign off low margin bookings and investigation of errors and poor performance management.
Ensure mark-ups are managed and adhered to.
Delivery of exceptional Quality Assurance scores (e.g. enquiry call and booking call handling).
Managing your team's Financial and Non-Financial KPI's inc. Enquiries, Sales Funnel, Conversion Rates, Bookings, Sales, Gross Margin, Gross Margin %, Discount/Controls, £0 deposits, Short lead, Outstanding group deposits, Pricing and availability discrepancies, Complaint resolution & Customer Feedback Inc. TrustPilot, Social Media and Email.
Managing People:
Attend Sales Management Leadership Team meeting.
Ensure Sales Managers have weekly 1-2-1 and review agenda.
Weekly 1:1's with Sales Managers within the region.
Co-host weekly Sales Team meeting Stage a weekly team meeting focusing on Financial and Non-Financial KPIs.
Demonstrate outstanding leadership behaviours.
Provide on-going coaching and team support.
Good presentation skills.
Work closely with the Sales Training Manager and Quality Assurance team to support and develop team members.
Leading People:
Inspire, coach and develop your team members.
Provide support and advice.
Embed company values within the team.
Demonstrate company values in all interactions.
Act as mentor to new team members
Key Objectives:
Effective communication with clients and venues while quoting and confirming bookings.
Delivering an exceptional speed of response to maximise sales opportunities (First contact, Quote, Follow Up and Booking).
Development of your own client database - focusing on growing existing accounts.
Providing exceptional customer service to all Your Golf Travel clients at all times.
Regular financial reporting on agreed KPI's.
Work closely with the Regional Head of Product & the Sales Director to manage regional KPI's, identify trends, develop and implement solutions.
Provide feedback and action plans to improve country and regional conversion rates.
Requirements
An experienced and inspirational sales manager / leader
Travel industry experience
Golf knowledge is ideal however not essential.
A passion for travel
Good time management and the ability to work under pressure are prerequisites.
You will be a confident, competitive team player with an eye for detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
Furthermore, a good working knowledge of Google applications would also be advantageous.
