Head of ESG and Sustainability
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Head of ESG and Sustainability. The role is pivotal in overseeing and implementing the sustainability and ESG strategy within Radius and in driving our commitment to responsible business practices and alignment with global sustainability goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute ESG and sustainability initiatives that align with the Radius vision and values. We would love to welcome you to our Crewe Campus Office for the days you are in the office. You’ll report into the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.
ESG Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategy that aligns with the Radius’ strategy, values and objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate ESG considerations into overall business strategy.
Sustainability Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and publication of annual sustainability reports in accordance with relevant reporting frameworks. Ensure accurate and transparent communication of Radius’ ESG performance and the reporting of such performance through Radius’ governance framework.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, employees, and regulatory bodies. Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries related to ESG and sustainability matters.
Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, providing strategic guidance to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Stay informed about emerging ESG trends and regulations to anticipate potential impacts on the business.
ESG Metrics and Targets: Establish key performance indicators and targets related to ESG metrics. Monitor and report on progress towards ESG goals, ensuring continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG principles throughout various business functions. Conduct training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of ESG concepts among employees.
In addition to the above, undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested and that are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.
Experience / qualifications required:
Batchelor’s degree in an applicable field (sustainability, environmental science, business, law).
Proven experience in sustainability/ESG either in consulting or an in-house ESG position.
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards and industry best practice.
Ability to motivate and influence teams across the business.
Ownership of projects and tasks through to completion.
Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Interaction: Ability to interact publicly and internally with senior management and stakeholders.
