the heart of our ethos. Day to Day of the Role:
Lead, manage, and develop the English department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within English literature and language.Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated English curriculum to students.Teach English across different age and ability ranges, inspiring students to excel in both written and verbal communication.Manage staff, financial resources, and physical assets within the department.Support the personal and academic growth of students, providing opportunities for development. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, along with a relevant undergraduate degree in English (management training is desirable).Have a successful track record of teaching English at GCSE and A-Level, rated as good or better.Demonstrate experience in initiating and managing effective change within an educational setting.Provide evidence of raising achievement and adding value for various student groups.Exhibit strong leadership qualities and the ability to serve as a role model within our academy.
