Lorien Global are partnering with a leading gaming company dedicated to providing cutting-edge technology solutions in the industry. With a focus on innovation and excellence, we are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a dynamic team in Manchester City Centre.About the Role:
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead a critical workstream within the technology landscape, driving engineering best practices and fostering a DevOps culture. You'll play a key role in building, releasing, and supporting software solutions, while optimising engineering teams and collaborating with various functions within the organisation.This position will give you an excellent opportunity to implement the latest technology as my client move from a monolith to microservice architecture, we need a forward thinker who is motivated by change to help navigate this exciting challenge. Responsibilities:Define and lead key engineering best practices within the workstreamPromote and cultivate a DevOps culture to enhance collaboration and efficiencyCollaborate with stakeholders to define a strategic plan to tackle the technical debtManage and optimise engineering teams within the workstream structureEnsure platform stability is maintained throughoutEncourage learning activities and provide support for internal and external training initiativesUnderstand key reporting for tracking, process improvements, and progressSkill Requirements:Extensive experience in leading engineering teams within a technology-focused organisationStrong understanding of engineering best practices with C# .NET platformsExperience implementing a DevOps culture including CI/CD best practiseProficiency in defining and implementing software development processes and methodologiesExcellent ability to ensure QA across the platformKnowledge of developing platforms hosted in Cloud environments (AWS)Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across functionsStrategic thinker with a track record of driving continuous improvement and innovationBenefits:Competitive salary £100,000Additional benefits package includes 25 days annual leave, enhanced company pension contributionHybrid working (2 days in Manchester a week)Flexitime hoursGenuine opportunity to impact change Interviews will be taking place over the coming weeks, submit your application now to be considered.IND_PC1Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
