We are seeking a fully remote Head of Engineering with an established travel technology group with a strong foothold in the US market now expanding across Europe and further afield. The team run some of the most successful and popular tours globally (number one tour operator in New York), with over $20 million in yearly revenue, and ambitious plans to take this above $30 million.
The team are hiring their first Head of Engineering to lead technical strategy, grow an in-house engineering function, improve processes and consolidate a disparate tech stack to allow scalability. As the Head of Engineering you would sit on their global strategic leadership team, being the voice for technology and the interface between tech and the wider business.
Whilst this is a leadership and strategic role, they will be looking for someone to do a small amount of hands-on engineering work before the team is established, helping to shift away from the use of outside contractors.
Key Requirements
Hands-on development skills with React and Node.js
Professional experience with public cloud environments, ideally GCP
Prior leadership experience
Experience scaling and managing engineering teams
Package
Salary up to £125,000 plus bonus + benefits
Fully remote in the UK
