Overview: One of the area's well-known manufacturers is looking to recruit a new Head of Engineering and is ready to speak with candidates immediately. The role will involve managing the day-to-day engineering function on-site as well as longer-term strategy and capital project management. After initially maintaining current standards, you will be required to identify areas of improvement across machinery, production, and processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with a successful track record to use their experience and knowledge to drive forward growth and standards.
Responsibilities for the Head of Engineering
Overseeing and managing day-to-day operations in the engineering department.
Managing full cycle projects from inception to delivery covering installations and process changes.
Managing the recruitment for the site and engineering team.
Upskilling and providing guidance to the hands-on engineering team.
Attending and running daily production meetings.
Senior site management responsibilities and working closely with other departments.
Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site.
Requirements for the Head of Engineering
Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
Experience: Working in a senior engineering management position previously.
Industry Experience: Working in the food or FMCG environments and comfortable working to a fast pace.
Skills: Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
