Head of Engineering - Financial Services
Location: London; Hybrid, Flexible
Salary: Experience depending base + bonus + equity
We have partnered with a startup fintech company, working across trading, transactions and blockchain who are scaling up their tech team across Functional Programming, utilising Scala, Haskell, Rust, with elements in Erlang and Golang.
Seeking a head of engineering keen to continue being stuck in with code, supporting the scaling of the team and direction of the company for the future.
Currently a team of 14 right now, they're looking to reach new heights with 200% YoY growth over the next few years.
Ideal Background:
Startup mentality, understanding complex scaling needs and requirements
Hands on with a keen interest in Functional Programming
Financial, trading, blockchain, banking background would be ideal
5+ years' experience working with FP, either Scala, Haskell or Rust ideally
Agile approach to work, comfortable working with remote teams and client/stakeholder management
People-centric approach, where behind every great technical team is a positive and inclusive foundation
This role would ideally be someone commutable to their Central London office, though hybrid work is being offered for the right people.
