Head of Engineering | Start-up (backed by one of the largest listed energy multinationals) |
Permanent Role | London, Hybrid | (Hands on Technical Role) | Total Comp £400K per annum
We are working with an early stage start up organisation who are backed by one of the worlds leading names in the energy sector. The founder led organisation are on a mission to increase the safety of front line teams improving the safety parameters for over 900 million workers.
They are looking for a strong technically minded Head of Engineering to join them who has a strong background across engineering, architecture, data, algorithms, security and AI.
You should be excited and passionate about next generation technology, solving the problems of tomorrow and having a real impact on the lives of millions through engineering excellence.
You will:
Lead the entire development of the technical roadmap, product roadmap and delivery
Scale the engineering function, identifying the key hires that need to be made across all functions
Help to establish engineering and people culture across the organisation (collaboration, ownership, autonomy)
Keep up to date with the latest technology innovations
Work closely with the senior leadership team, board, and the organisation backing the start up
We are looking for someone who has:
Core experience working within Big Tech (Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Google, Twitter, Spotify)
Experience across a number of languages (C++, Java, Python, JavaScript etc.)
Experience with engineering databases, algorithms, APIs, data structures, security, performance, cloud platforms, serverless architecture, continuous deployment, agile, TDD,
Strong coding principals, ability to create low level algorithms and solve complex problems efficiently
Collaborate and contribute to architectural plans
Experience leading a team of engineers (5+)
This is hybrid working role in London, the total comp on offer is up to £400K per annum (combination of base, bonus, benefits). Our client can provide sponsorship but not relocation.
