Job Title: Head of Engineering
Salary: Competitive + car allowance + 20% bonus
Location: Stansted Airport (hybrid working)
We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to join our team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced business. Established 20 years ago, Aeropeople combines Engineering Services (Line Maintenance, CAMO and Aircraft Tool Hire) and Recruitment Solutions. Our talented Engineering Services division is based at London Stansted Airport and is made up of both our Line Maintenance and CAMO teams and combines their numerous EASA and international regulatory approvals. The Head of Engineering will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, support and direction of the operational functions and performance of line maintenance, tool lease and CAMO elements. You will have 2 direct reports (Line Maintenance Manager and Continuing Airworthiness Manager) and will be accountable for:
Strategy development & business planning.
Business Development - new and incumbent.
Developing and maintaining key relationships with customers, external bodies, and authorities.
Reshape the business to increase profitability.
Leadership of the Line Maintenance & CAMO elements.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of the senior management team to ensure all business objectives are met.
Create and deliver strategic direction to drive profitability.
Develop the budgets for each business stream to deliver growth.
Business development - new customers, organisational diversification, cross-selling all Company Services.
Maintain existing relationships with external stakeholders - regulatory authorities, current customers.
Expand an environment of continuous improvement.
Pro-actively analyse operational metrics.
Assist the Nominated Persons with maintaining a safe, compliant working environment.
Identify risks and vulnerabilities relating to the business operation targets providing effective solutions.
Manage and control man-hours in conjunction with the respective managers.
Manage individual performance, setting clear objectives.
Longer-term to take on the responsibility of Accountable Manager for Part 145 & CAMO.

About You:
Operational leadership within aviation sector.
Proven background in continuous improvement
Experience with business development and contract management.
Target Delivery: financial, strategic, developmental
Significant management experience in team performance.
Strong financial acumen with experience of budget production and analysis
Leadership across different disciplines and environments
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proven leadership skills & personally driven to bring long-term business growth.
Problem-solving and decision making.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands of the business.
Ability to drive accountability and instill a culture of high performance.
Demonstrates adaptability and a personal drive to succeed.
