Head Of Engineering

The Industrial Work Solutions are currently looking to recruit a Head of Engineering for one of their major clients.Based in Kendal, our client is a leader in their field and is currently undergoing a considerable expansion programme.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for
* The overall management of our on-site Engineering Department and be accountable for the strategic implementation of the Engineering Goals within the Business.
* Reporting to the Factory Manager and working closely with key external stakeholders.
* Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.
* Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Engineering department to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
* Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised
* Facilitate, direct and drive implementation of business strategy
* Drive Continuous Improvement across all engineering related areas of the business.A detailed job description will be provided upon applicationRequirements
* Proven leadership and management skills
* Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent NVQ Level 7 qualification.
* Demonstrable experience of leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes and systems.
* Excellent relationship management skills
* Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels of business, interpersonal and professional.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
