�60,000- �75,000

Randstad Engineering are currently partnered with an exciting and fast developing manufacturing/processing company, operating in the heavier industry. The business has impressive plans for expansion, upgrades and company wide development. As a result, we are looking for a head of engineering to; lead the engineering function, set and implement the site's maintenance engineering strategy and drive improvement across all areas of maintenance engineering.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Previous engineering management experience, leading a team of mechanical and electrical maintenance engineers/supervisors.
• Previous experience working in a heavier industry environment i.e metals, nuclear, chemical, energy or similar.
• A working understanding of lean, 5s, kaizen or other lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Previous experience setting and implementing strategy to drive improvement.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Ideally degree trained or alike in a relevant engineering discipline.

Heading up the engineering function, your responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for Engineering activities across the site.
• Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Providing technical support to the business development, estimating and onsite engineering teams
• Take ownership of the engineering policies, guidelines and any associated documents.
• Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support of their activities.
