Working for a specialist charitable trust that provides commercial services in a niche market, the Head of Digital (b2b) / Internal Digital Transformation Manager will lead the internal digital transformation of the business, setting up their internal digital infrastructure from scratch in order to digitise their manual processes.
The have 350 UK employees and provide field-based services across the whole of the UK using very fragmented technology and manual processes. This role involves taking the lead in building bespoke digital solutions from scratch.
This is a standalone role working in a small team.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in their London offices, and occasional UK wide travel (mostly in the South).
The Head of Digital (b2b) / Internal Digital Transformation Manager will:
Lead on setting up the digital infrastructure of the business, from scratch, building bespoke solutions for all areas of the business e.g. For field-work, for HR matters (timesheets) etc
Manage programmes to implement transformational change, building new systems and processes that will drive efficiency and productivity
Create a digital and innovation strategy, in line with the business objectives
Create digital services, providing a united and cohesive digital environment for staff, clients and external stakeholders
Foster digital innovation and digital leadership, helping to lead the way in their sector
Manage a diverse group of teams around a digital strategy
Unify diverse digital and tech systems present, understanding and mitigating risks
Be a part of the Executive Team and a strong voice advocating innovation and change
Collaborate with Trustees, managers and colleagues across the organisation on the financial impact and viability of future investments, providing support in the development of business cases
Lead the transformation of technology and develop a programme for effective delivery and roll out
Build a robust suite of business systems software that underpin commercial operations and business management
Have an understanding of AI and the opportunities and possibilities the use of this technology may bring to an organisation
Build platforms for making our data open and accessible both internally and externally in line with charitable aims
Candidates for the Head of Digital (b2b) / Internal Digital Transformation Manager role should have:
Experience leading the internal digital transformation for a legacy business or charity, ideally for a mid-size or smaller organisation that has limited/no digital infrastructure.
Experience creating bespoke digital solutions in order to digitise processes that are manual and complex.
Ideally have worked in one of the following sectors - charities, local or central government, health services, trade unions, industry bodies, care sector, surveying, education and construction, or similar.
Experience of change management and working with a diverse range of stakeholders in a diverse environment
Strong communication skills, comfort presenting at Exec level and working with field based staff
