Job DescriptionRole overview:The Head of Design at Really Wild Clothing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the creative vision and aesthetic direction of both theCountry Clothingand theCity Collection. This individual will oversee the development ofday and evening wearacross both collections,accessories, leather goods, knitwear resort- and swimwearensuring alignment with the brand's ethos of timeless elegance and sophistication, celebrating craftsmanship and quality of the garments, creating a look and feel that is empowering.Key Responsibilities:1. **Creative Direction**: Lead the conceptualisation and development of seasonal collections for both the Country Clothing and the City Collection in lie with Nadja Swarovski’s vision, incorporating innovative design elements while staying true to the brand's heritage and identity, and being relevant to the consumer.2. **Design Management**: Manage a team of in-house designers and collaborate closely with freelance designers (specializing in Country and City knitwear, as well as accessories such as jewellery, leather goods, scarves, and gloves). Provide guidance and direction to ensure cohesive and cohesive design across all categories.3. **Trend Forecasting**: Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to inform design decisions and maintain relevance in the fashion landscape.4. **Product Development**: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from initial sketches and concept boards to sample creation and final production. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Production, and Sourcing to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.5. **Quality Control**: Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality across all product categories, conducting regular fittings and assessments to ensure garments meet design specifications and brand standards.6. **Freelance Designer Management**: Manage relationships with and oversee the work of freelance designers (resort & swimwear, knitwear, fur, softs (scarves, gloves,…), accessories - jewellery & leather goods (boots, bags, hats, gloves) & umbrellas,…providing clear briefs and direction for projects while fostering a collaborative and creative working environment ensuring alignment with Really Wild's aesthetic and quality standards, while capturing the essence of luxury and sophistication and ensuring timely delivery of design assets and adherence to brand guidelines.7. **Budget Management**: Develop and manage the design department budget, allocating resources effectively to support creative initiatives while maintaining cost efficiencies.Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; advanced degree preferred.- Proven experience in a senior design role within the fashion industry, with a focus on luxury apparel and accessories.- Strong portfolio showcasing original design concepts, technical proficiency, and understanding of garment construction.- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a creative team.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work cross-functionally and interface with senior leadership.- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and PLM systems.- Knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing processes, with a keen eye for quality and detail.Join Really Wild Clothing and be at the forefront of shaping the brand's iconic aesthetic, blending countryside heritage with contemporary sophistication to create timeless fashion pieces beloved by discerning clientele worldwide.How to apply:If you are interested in being considered for the role then we would invite those who have the appropriate skills and experience along with the right to work in the UK to apply.Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role.The advertisement for this role will close without warning, particularly in the event of high interest.
