Academics are working with a Secondary school in Watford and are currently recruiting for a Head of Department History Teacher. This role is to start September 2024. I am keen to hear from experienced Head of Department History Teacher or an experienced teacher looking to take on added responsibility. .

Responsibilities:

• Manage the History department
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in History education, incorporating new techniques and technologies into teaching practice where appropriate.
• Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS), (ECT) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching History to students of all ages and abilities
• Enhanced DBS
• Rights to work in the UK
• NQTs welcome
