Reporting to the UK Supply Chain Director, the Head of Demand Planning will play a pivotal role in the development and functional leadership of the Demand Planning function.The Head of Demand Planning shall be responsible for developing the strategy, forming, and developing the function to effectively translate commercial information from a variety of sources into a high-accuracy demand forecast. This shall ensure all supply chains and value streams are provided with a clearly defined and modelled consensus forecast that allows clear actions to be made. They will be the primary IBP practitioner within the business working with core stakeholders.
The Head of Demand Planning, together with their teams, shall design and model forecasts to meet current
and future build rate readiness, planning the product from introduction through to supply whilst measuring
and developing the supply chain
performance and mitigating supply chain risk and issues. They will take a
lead in the IBP rhythm and routine and lead workstreams that shine a light on forecast gaps.
The role shall work with the wider Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain functions and Leadership Team to develop and govern all processes. Governance shall include and incorporate industry best practice, Customer and Aliaxis benchmarks.Ability to define with practicable experience of the implementation of a forecast management and alignment process, recognising all constraints ensuring optimal demand planning balance across the supply chain to maximise customer satisfaction.Experienced in developing and managing an end-to-end supply chain design at all levels within the value chain, recognising key changes across the product and portfolio lifecycle which could affect the commodities/supply chain value stream.Ability to validate the quality and robustness of demand planning activity to ensure (a) risks to planned performance are understood and actively addressed; and (b) impact such as promotional activities, product lifecycle, and supply chain change are known and managed.Clear methodology in the management of supply chain and commercial risk to ensure all risks are identified, prioritised, escalated and disseminated within the wider organisation. This is to ensure all risks have clear mitigation strategies, incorporated within all segment strategies and are effectively managed.Experienced in the functional development of an ERP solution with all aspects related to product masterdata management to ensure correct planning data and is maintained for all systems, commodities, and components Required Experience and Knowledge
Proven ability to lead and direct a diverse functional and cross functional team(s)
Well
organised
, systematic, and rigorous approach to planning work and priorities.
Delivery of results (value) from successfully working with stakeholders and customers
Degree qualified or
significant experience
in a relevant functional discipline, ideally with
supply chain management qualification (
i.e.
CPIM or CSCP).
Data driven, with strong analytical and IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Excel & Access);
strong understanding of ERP (Dynamics AX / SAP), MRP software, and Power BI; creation
and refinement of forecasting models within planning software tools- ideally SO99+,
Imperia, or SAP.
Integrated Business Planning practitioner, with experience of embedding and developing
processes.
Participated at a mid/senior level in transformation, relocation, or system migration
projects and able to
demonstrate
success in implementation.
