We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious and compassionate leader, with excellent attention to detail, who will be responsible for the delivery of the organisations Information function, including the leadership and Management of the Data Science Managers (Business Partners), Data Quality Team and Clinical Coding Team, working closely with the Operational Teams. Thepostholderwill contribute towardsthesuccessfuldeliveryof theDigitalStrategyensuringbest practice solutions are adopted where appropriate.
They will be responsible for the Trust's clinical coding function to ensure that records are coded accurately, to time while maintaining data quality and ensuring efficiency within the department.
The postholder will have a passion for ensuring data is recorded accurately, leading the Data Quality Team to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across numerous stakeholders to maximise the quality of the data collected, supporting the aim to have data of a high standard, recognising the impact of data on patient care and safety, trust performance metrics, and trust income. Lead on methodologies to support data modelling and scenario testing for service change within the Trust, ensuring data is used appropriately.
In partnership with other Data and Digital leaders, develop the Trust’s Digital Strategy, leading the Information Team in the strategic direction in line with the Trust’s Digital Strategy.
Advise and guide Clinical Teams and Corporate Managers in relation to systems that collect data; and ensure that the Digital Strategy enables the organisation to maintain compliance with Data standards.
Oversee the Trust's clinical coding function to ensure that income is maximised and clinical coding standards are met and enhanced.
Support the department in developing mature business relationships with Clinical Groups.
Leadonthedesignanddevelopmentofcapabilityacrosstheanalysts

Beproactiveinraisingtheprofileoftheteamwithinthe Trust.
Maintain and develop own professional knowledge and expertise in relation to areas of responsibility, maintain awareness of professional education, good practice and innovation through attendance at seminars, conferences, study days, networking and professional contacts.
Engage with the Trust’s Business Planning process ensuring it is understood by operational staff and embedded in day-to-day monitoring.
Develop and co-ordinate the evidence base/business intelligence to inform specialty Strategies and Annual Plans, including market share, competitor analysis, performance targets, national policy, clinical standards, commissioning intentions and benchmarking.
Support the production of Business Cases as required by the Chief Finance Officer, in line with Trust process that clearly describes the planned changes and implications for sign off by Clinical Directors. Liaison within the Specialty and across the Trust as necessary to ensure all implications are addressed / included in Business Cases.
Responsible for shaping the trust wide Data Quality and Clinical Coding Strategy / Policies, with the Associate Director of Information & Performance, and setting standards / policy within those teams.
In conjunction with the Medical Director the post holder will be responsible for the implementation of policy / guidelines for medical clinical coding within the Trust and the alignment to national policy, ensuring external audit is carried out annually.
Data Management
Responsibleforensuringthat informationprovidedisclear,conciseand timely. Review, analyse and highlight where the data may breach a data standard, and investigate the root cause, with involvement from Data Quality, and ensure that mitigations are put in place to capture accurate data.
Leaddemandand capacityplanningwiththePerformanceLead, and Strategy Directorate .
Chair various forumstodiscussand agreeactionsrelating todivisionalinformation support,data qualityand the Trust's cost improvement programme.
Bethe key stakeholder in the use of data for bench marking and identifying Data Quality
trends.
Ensure that guidanceand adviceis available to tackle dataissues that can impact on patient care.
Lead on ensuring theappropriateexternalaccreditationis met. OverseetheClinical Coding department and provide an accurate and timely service.
Leadondevelopmentandimplementationofqualityassuranceandmonitoringprocessesto achieve compliance with local, national standards, targets and indicators.
Advise the Informatics department about national standards on data items/collection.
Information Management
Ensure that the analysts understand the Trust priorities and are empowered to identify and manage their workload under the Head of Data Science (Analytics) guidance.
Ensurethatallstatutoryandmandatoryreturnsarecompletedinatimely manner.
EnsureFreedomofInformationrequestsarerespondedtoin atimelyand efficient manner. ProvideexpertadvicetoTruststafftohelptakeforwardtheTrust'sobjectives by helping them identify their information requirements and make recommendations for
action.
Staff Management

Responsible for developing the team and individual training plans to ensure that the team develop analytical skills in line with the healthcare industry
