Job Description
Head of Data Architecture: London Markets, Data Governance, Data Modelling, Azure
Head of Data Architecture required for a leading Speciality Insurer. This is a new position, where you will be responsible for the development & implementation of robust data framework as the business expands across multiple domains.
Working with CTO and senior leadership team, you will define data strategic roadmap while overseeing a team of Data Architects & Engineers to design scalable & secure data solutions. Coming from an Insurance background - ideally across the London Markets, you will have extensive experience designing enterprise-wide data architecture for projects such as data management, data modelling, data governance and data warehousing.
This role will require an on-site presence with 2- 3 days in the London Office.
Responsibilities:
Design & maintain the overall data architecture strategy, roadmap and standards in alignment with business objectives
Lead the design & implementation of data models, data integration pipelines and data governance frameworks
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors
Partner with other architecture teams to ensure alignment & integration of data architecture with other domains such as application, infrastructure & security
Drive innovation & continuous improvement in data architecture practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in data architecture roles, designing & implementing complex data solutions
Hands on experience with data technologies & cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Understanding of data architecture principles, data modelling and data governance frameworks
Insurance experience is required, London Markets experience is highly desirable
Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
