Head of Cyber/Information Security

The Opportunity

As the Head of Cyber/Information Security, you will act as the Chief Information Security Officer and will be responsible for ensuring the security of all information systems and data.

Our client is based within the North East and this role represents an excellent opportunity to support a large organisation on their journey to maturity within Cyber and Information Security.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures across the organisation, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will also be responsible for managing a team of security professionals and conducting regular security assessments and audits.

You will monitor and respond to security incidents as well as develop and deliver security awareness training for employees across the organisation.

You will have

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials and PSN)
• Previous experience in cybersecurity strategy and best practices.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Previous experience working across a multiple sectors
• Experience managing Senior level Stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience of coaching and mentoring.
