Job Title: Head of Computer Science

Location: England, Greater London, Enfield

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time - To start ASAP

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £36745 - £56959 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage the Computer Science department within the educational institution
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans in line with national guidelines
  • Provide leadership in the delivery of Computer Science courses
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a cohesive educational experience
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Computer Science
  • Oversee staff training and development
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the educational institution

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practises
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Education (preferred)
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary or higher education level
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures in the UK
  • Familiarity with educational technology and software applications
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing Computer Science curriculum
  • Professional certifications in Computer Science education

Working Conditions:
