Head of Commercial

LCB Group was incorporated in 2012 and is a growing business with offices across the south and south west of the UK and a head office in Cardiff. We regularly secure new contracts with new and existing clients. Most of our contracts are for 4 to 10 years so we are in a position to be able to recruit good people and offer them long-term prospects.
LCB Group are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Projects division who work on a diverse range of both new build and refurbishment schemes ranging in value from £100k-£5 million. This Commercial Manager role is to lead a team of Quantity Surveyors in split workstreams across the division.
Role: Head of Commercial
Experience within the role essential.
Provide strong leadership, management, and governance for all commercial activities, pre and post contract, across either a single large project or a portfolio of projects.
Review and scrutinise contract CVRs to ensure accuracy and identify areas to improve performance.
Drive clear cost strategy across projects on operational delivery, customer engagement, and commercial management.
Support the business objectives regarding work winning/repeat business and customer management.
Actively promote and support the development of the Commercial team.
Review of the monthly project cost reports and completing input into the business Board reports.
Ensuring the business's cash management plans are rigorously followed.
Have a clear understanding and experience in contract law, with regards to payless notice, payment notice, and clear understanding of legal binding contracts.
Debt monitoring and management, ensuring cash is collected on time.
WIP management and understanding is essential.
Remuneration: Up to £70,000 base salary, car allowance, Pension, 31 days holidays inclusive of bank holidays and birthday day off.
