We foster a culture of continuous improvement, and we want to see you grow in your role.This role is offered on a full-time basis for 35 hours per week across 5 days.About the roleAs Head of Commercial Hires and Events (Maternity Cover) your focus will be:To lead a small but dedicated team to reach its ambitious fundraising targets through hires of the Mulryan Centre for Dance.To secure new venue hire clients for events, filming, rehearsal and performances, whilst continuing to build relationships with our existing client base.To lead a team of permanent and freelance support staff to work on commercial event operations, and to lead on some commercial hire and internal event delivery.To oversee ENB’s own programme of events. This will include exciting programming and fundraising activity to celebrate our 75th season and anniversary.To contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Please see the job description on the ENB careers page for the full scope of this role.Key Selection CriteriaAs Head of Commercial Hires and Events (Maternity Cover) you will need to demonstrate that you have:Experience generating and driving a new revenue stream with growth targets with a focus on commercial venue hire and events.Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, with good influencing and negotiating skills.Proven experience of event management including contract negotiation, sales, marketing, and operations.An understanding of the operational workings of performing arts organisations or similar, and the practical requirements for the successful delivery of hires in a unique multi-use building.Proven experience of managing a variety of event types, including commercial, corporate and large scale internal events.Ability to manage, coach and develop direct reports, offering clear guidance and supporting learning pathways to acquire new skills and knowledge.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where staff of all backgrounds can thrive and grow.
