Head of Cloud Operations – Fintech – Ref 32358 Location: WFH/Remote/London Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding FinTech based in central London, are looking for a Head of Cloud Operations to join their team. As Head of Cloud Operations you will be responsible for; Leading and managing a team of Infrastructure and DevOps Engineers, supporting and mentoring the team to build, deploy and support an industry leading financial technology product set using robust architectural best practice and innovation software solutions delivering business value. Own the quality and technical approach taken by the team members, ensuring it is in-line with the company strategy and that projects are delivered on time and on budget. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to hold and support the overall technical knowledge around client solutions and platforms. Engineering solutions that span across a number of cloud-based technologies including mobile application deployment through core platforms into 3rd party applications/suppliers that deliver the end-to-end customer experience. Working with the Project Management Office and the Business Analyst team, the role will require the developing and scoping of work with internal teams and business stakeholders. ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS; Atlassian; JIRA Cloud/JIRA Server architecture, Confluence Cloud/Confluence Server, JIRA Service Desk Proven experience in system wide migrations from Legacy infrastructure to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS service. DataDog/System wide monitoring systems including the configuration of systems where none are present Call ROTA systems Service Desk Manager Level knowledge of SLA’s/OLA’s and extensive MSP experience is running Production Services. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE; 10+ years relevant experience, ideally within financial services/FinTech sectors Strong background as a senior level Infrastructure Engineer or DevOps Engineer with proven and successful technical lead experience Experience of leading a team of mixed skilled Infrastructure and DevOps Engineers Experience of managing, directing and motivating staff to deliver projects with stretching scope and objectives Detailed understanding and experience of implementing and/or maintaining Agile frameworks Technical understanding of cloud-based technologies and experience working in Microsoft and Amazon technology stacks Highly numerate and literate, with the ability to produce top quality written specifications and strategy and implementation communication Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure Experience at advising key stakeholders at senior and board level Apply for This Role...
