Black Country ICB has an exciting opportunity for two new Heads of Service, Continuing Healthcare (CHC) to become part of the senior management team structure.This role will support the Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer in the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the delivery of CHC across the Black Country system.We are looking for someone that is innovative and has strong leadership skills to inspire our CHC Teams across the place and system teams. Ensuring the provision of safe, high quality and effective care to all people that require funded support at local place and contribute to the strategic development of CHC across the Black Country system.The role will be responsible for the management and leadership of local place-based and system based CHC Teams and will lead on transformation, assurance and case management. Working in a matrix management arrangement you will work to inspire and lead the local place-based team, working with statutory partners, local authority, and health providers to ensure ICB statutory duties are delivered for CHC assessment and funding.Applicants must be an experienced manager with extensive knowledge of CHC and statutory requirements for ICBs. The role requires experience in establishing & developing relationships between commissioning organisations, commissioned service providers & ensure all relevant contractual requirements are fully applied.Main duties of the jobProvide leadership and overall management expertise to the service, driving change and improvement by supporting and influencing the team and the corporate management teamEnsure that the ICB meets their statutory requirements in relation to provision of NHS Continuing Healthcare and other legislation in regard to Complex Care (e.g. Mental Health Act and DoLS).The post holder will be required to achieve against a range of objectives and priorities related to the overall management of the patient pathway.
