Head of Capital Projects

Job DescriptionThis new role supports our highly experienced project managers, external consultants and the Director to deliver multiple projects. The role will be expected to lead all routine CapEx across our current estate alongside large-scale development activities overseen by our Development Company subsidiary Board of Directors. Current projects range from £100k-£20m. There is also a requirement for this role to support general market growth, acquiring new accommodation within our portfolio, which meets the needs of our operational Housing directorate.One YMCA is a place of innovation and excellence. And as Head of Capital Projects, this is where you come in.Bringing a multidisciplinary team together, you’ll take ownership of both small and large-scale major capital works programmes. From securing the relevant funding and awarding contracts to overseeing the governance arrangements of ambitious projects, you’ll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our most important investments.This is a career-defining role that would be well-suited to a professionally qualified individual with experience in the delivery and management of capital projects. Good project management and financial skills are essential, and your knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations will be second-to-none.
