This includes both documentation and model validation of the modelDetermine how best to optimise reinsurance protections for underwriting portfoliosWork closely with underwriters to provide analysis to support reinsurance purchaseLiaise with WRBC actuarial team on business planning capital valuationsProvide support for production of the Actuarial Function reportDevelop and train junior Actuarial staffResponsible for providing actuarial support to the business planning process, corporate actuarial team, internal audit function as well as providing input to the Actuarial Function reportKnowledge and prior capital modelling experience of the London and Lloyd’s marketAdvanced ReMetrica, Excel and programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL)Experience in building capital modelsAbility to interact with the underwriters and management, ability to convince and influence others and the gravitas to operate at all levels in an organisationSelf-reliance – to plan, implement and work either on their own or in a team and deliver a multitude of tasks to a timescale
