Head of Business Risk (Hybrid)Our client a leading banking institution are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Head of Business Risk (1LOD). This is an instrumental role for the business where you will be responsible for the creation and embedding of the firms first line of defence risk function. As the Head of Business Risk, you will be responsible for leading the company's risk management program, ensuring that the company's risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the company's risk management strategyEnsure that all risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectivelyProvide guidance and support to business units on risk management mattersDevelop and maintain risk policies and proceduresEnsure that the company complies with all relevant regulatory requirementsReport on risk management activities to senior management and the board of directorsLead the company's risk management teamRequirementsAt least 10 years of experience in risk managementExperience in the financial services industryStrong knowledge of risk management principles and practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant degree or professional qualificationIf you are a highly motivated and experienced risk management professional looking for a challenging role with a reputable financial institution, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Hybrid working policy is 1-2 days per week in the office located in the West Midlands.
