HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Laureus Sport for Good has spent many years developing a broad network of grantee partners, high value partnerships and events. In this time Laureus has developed a depth of understanding and a corresponding credibility in its field and is recognised as a global leader within the sport for development sector.
You will be responsible for the three core areas of the Laureus Sport for Good business: • Revenue & Fundraising • Policies and Process Design and Implementation • Resource Management.
As a member of the executive leadership team the role plays a crucial role in setting strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, and managing and supporting a team of colleagues both in the UK and around the world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead development, management and implementation of the fundraising strategy, contribute to the development of other organisational strategic plans
Regularly review the fundraising plan and ensure it remains fit for purpose
Lead and manage the growth of the fundraising team across all regions, providing motivation, development opportunities and identifying needs in resource
Manage sales pipeline ensuring fundraising opportunities are aligned to strategy and income targets
Define strategies for new revenue streams and coordinate development activity with Laureus Limited and Laureus national offices
Analyse company policies, operational tools and strategies; together with the ExCo Team, identify and lead implementation plan to ensure business effectiveness (CRM, compliance, finance, etc.)
Build and maintain relationships with the Global Board of Trustees, along with the Laureus Academy and Ambassadors creating opportunities for them to actively support fundraising efforts
Build and maintain relationships with strategic stakeholders in the UK and globally, representing Laureus in a professional manner
Keep up to date and ensure organisational compliance with fundraising, data protection and other relevant legislation and standards
HOW WILL YOU SUCCEED WITH US?
Degree level education
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in business development
Experience and track record in securing business growth and revenue
Excellent communication and commercial skills with the ability to translate those skills to support and drive fundraising
Proven track record managing events, high net worth and corporate brand relationships.
Strong and authentic team leader with a collaborative approach and the ability to motivate and self-start initiatives under pressure
Excellent project management and financial management skills and the ability to take decisions which consider a wide range of parameters
Excellent written and spoken English
IT and Technology literate (Microsoft Powerplatform, Salesforce, workflow development)
As and advantage: experience with media, public speaking
