Do you have a passion for detail as well as strategic decision making based on reliable, easy to access and maintain data and information?Then this may be the role for you!Sothern Housing is one of the largest housing associations in England with 77,000 homes.We are currently recruiting for a Head of Asset Information to join our Strategic Asset Management Team. This is a hybrid role which can be based at any of our office locations in London or Croydon. This is an exciting role which has been recently created to deliver on our plans for knowing our assets and integration and transformation of our asset management data and systems.The role is pivotal for us to deliver our Asset Management Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and application of solutions to complex datasets and asset management systems, alongside key business stakeholders, and implementing them successfully, whilst ensuring the integrity and robustness of our asset management data quality standards.Within this role you will be the lead client for a range of relevant data integration and transformation projects to ensure we have lean and digitally enabled processes to support a wide range of decision making. You will do this by leading on initiatives to enable smarter use of data to inform decision making, including data analytics using a variety of data sources. This includes Power BI, Intozetta, Data Warehouses, IoT and other modernisation and automation opportunities that exist.The post holder will play a major role within our organisation, ensuring Southern Housing makes well informed investment and divestment decisions based on complete and reliable datasets. You will do this by managing and integrating data from a variety of sources and systems that ensures we have robust information on property assets to make effective investment decisions, predict building element failure and estimate investment costs in advance. This will include maintaining and updating datasets in a variety of databases internally as well as central registers and other open data sources.As the Head of Asset Information, you will manage a diverse team of colleagues. You will ensure as a people manager you motivate, inspire, lead and be a role model, consistently demonstrating our culture and values which are: Honestly, Efficiency, Accountable, Respectful and Trustworthy. As an organisation we are always keen to promote within and we do this via our line managers motivating and supporting their team to succeed. Within this role you have financial responsibility of the departments financial budget of up to £3 Million. You will need to work closely with the Director of Strategic Asset Management as well as other key stakeholders within the wider Asset and Property services team.We offer Flexible working with this role, the successful candidate is expected to work from one of our offices at least three days a week.What you'll needMinimum five years’ experience at comparable organisation and level of responsibilities within a regulated sector.Expert in configuration of larger databases, analysing complex data sets to provide clear and concise reporting with recommendations and conclusions.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; well-developed, ambassadorial, influencing, networking, promotional and negotiating skills.Confident to lead, motivate and manage staff to achieve targets and provide a high standard of service whilst working under pressure.Able to plan, prioritise and deliver under pressure to ensure the effective use of own time and that of other staff, and the delivery of work plans to timetable, often under pressureClosing date for applications: Sunday 24th March 2024 at 23:59We reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
