In return we can offer:A supportive and innovative leadership team.An environment that nurtures personal growth and values individual contributions.The opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children.PurposeThe Head of Admissions plays a crucial role in the ongoing success of the School by effectively managing their team to ensure the smooth running of the entire admissions process from initial enquiries, through to registration and eventual enrolment. As the main point of contact for prospective parents, the Head of Admissions will be knowledgeable about the School and the curriculum. They should be able to respond to queries with confidence and in a timely manner. The Head of Admissions will develop and ensure the successful implementation of an admissions strategy.Reports to: The HeadmistressThis is a full-time, all year-round position. The normal hours of work will be from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday inclusive with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break each day and at such further times and for such periods as are necessary for the proper performance of duties. A degree of flexibility will be required with this post, as attendance at events after hours and at weekends will be required in line with the admissions calendar. Occasional regional and international travel may also be required.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Admissions will be responsible for:Developing and ensuring the successful implementation of an effective admissions strategy which is in line with School’s strategic goals.Management of the Admissions Team.Overseeing the successful implementation of the admissions process, including the efficient management of the enrolment process from enquiry through to admission.Overseeing the arrangement of school tours and online calls for prospective parents and pupils.Fostering a welcoming and professional experience for all prospective parents and pupils.Issuing formal offer letters along with contractual documentation, liaising with the Business Office.Analysing, forecasting and reporting on key pupil admissions data regularly, revising strategies and plans as appropriate. Producing regular update reports for the Board of Governors.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pupil data on the School’s database, informing the Local Authorities as required.Taking responsibility for the organisation of Open Days and other admissions events.Working closely with the Director of Communications & Marketing to effectively market the School, collaborating regularly to ensure the marketing and admissions strategies are aligned to achieve successful realisation of core objectives.Working collaboratively with colleagues across the School.Developing and maintaining local and international market intelligence.Ensuring all necessary data is accurate and complete at time of enrolment in order to assist with the annual statutory returns.SafeguardingTo comply with safeguarding policies, procedures and the School’s code of conduct.To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and student / colleague wellbeing.Other DutiesCarry out specific projects and research.Attendance and support at key School events, when required, such as Open Days, Graduation etc. and other relevant events when required. This may include evenings and weekends.Any other duties as required by the Head and Bursar commensurate with the post.The PersonThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Admissions role or relevant transferable skillset and be proficient at managing complex databases and online registration processes.
