About the role
The Head of Ad Operations is responsible for supporting the growth of the Footballco business by implementing and delivering display, video and app campaigns across our global portfolio of products and sites. This leadership role is responsible for managing and growing our global ad operations team as well as partnering with sales management to ensure there is continual collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced digital advertising leader, passionate about flawless execution, operational excellence, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As a leader you must be willing to embrace change and adapt to new situations and challenges. The Head of Ad Operations will have the opportunity to partner with almost every department in our business, from Revenue Operations, Sales, Account Management, Product & Engineering teams and external ad vendors.
This position is a critical mix of technical know-how, operational excellence and team building and management. As a key leader in the Revenue Operations team, this individual directly impacts revenue execution and delivery.
What You'll be doing:
Lead and drive development of the global ad operations team across 5 offices
Key stakeholder for products including Google (Ad Manager, YouTube, Analytics), OMS, DoubleVerify, Permutive, etc
Partner closely with sales management to ensure optimal cross functional communication
Work with the team ensuring successful campaign implementation and performance and proactively think about potential roadblocks to meeting campaign performance goals
Verify technical specifications, QA, service and troubleshoot complex ad creative.
Evaluating the team structure, Sales alignments, and support needs based on business requirements while upholding structure and process in a growing team in a fast-paced environment
Identify process inefficiencies and ways to improve workflow. Create and maintain documentation as well as best practices for the team
Lead cross-departmental initiatives to drive efficiencies for Ad Ops
Be the Ad Ops lead voice in discussions around new ad products and team processes. Organize and lead training for new processes and products across teams.
Develop and maintain relationships with external ad tech vendors, ensuring we are leveraging the platforms efficiently and cost effectively
Be able to keep on top of industry initiatives and how they may affect the teams day to day execution of campaigns
Drive key reporting metrics for upper management
What You Have:
At least 5 years experience leading an ad operations function who supports a global and customer service-focused organization.
Experience using CRM, OMS, ad server (GAM) and third party tech solutions
Able to proactively troubleshoot technical issues and problem solve quickly and prior experience with delivering technical solutions
Experience managing teams across timezones and countries
Work with Product team leads and key stakeholders to identify new products and features business needs to review, trial and test
Strong analytical skills using data to identify insights and assess campaign performance
Proactive attitude with excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills
Experience diagnosing and solving technical problems with product and engineering teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with ad verification partners (IAS, DV, MOAT)
Self-starter, a fast learner who has critical thinking
Significant experience of working with ad-servers and configuration of tags/pixels/tag management systems, HTML & JavaScript is preferable.
This role is a Maternity cover, offered on an 12 Months Fixed Term Contract with the potential to be extended.
