Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with an excellent client who specialise in sustainable sourced all-day coffee, and they are looking to recruit a Head Chef for their site in Ashbourne to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
About the Head Chef Role
Joining a team who embrace the passion of coffee culture. The role is to deliver exceptional food for the brand.
Duties will include:
Ensure dishes are beautifully crafted, to specification and always upholding our high standards.
Embracing your knowledge, love and passion for food will be obvious in everything that you do.
Ultimately focus on overseeing the ongoing training and development of your kitchen team
Ensuring sustainable progression plans are in place to promote growth from within.
Responsible for supporting your Store Manager in promoting the brand culture within your store.
Fast paced but casual environment, so ensuring a strong focus on the quality of coffee, fresh food, cocktails, and always providing the best service.
Adhering to food safety and hygiene policies
Running and maintenance of kitchen
HOURS : Full-time (44 hours per week) - only 2 late evenings a week (Fri and Sat) and ideally available on Sunday afternoons for a weekly stocktake.
SALARY : £28,000 - £31,500
What will you bring to the Head Chef role?
At least 1 year's experience as a Head Chef or similar
Level 2 or 3 Food Safety & Hygiene certificates or similar
Passionate, hardworking, and friendly
Flexibility
Experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal
Ability to manage time effectively.
Good people skills
Be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Where is the Head Chef role based?
This role is based in Ashbourne, so if you live in Ashbourne in the surrounding areas or drive and have access to your own car, this role should be easily commutable. The site is also a short walk from the bus station.
