Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef for Indian restaurant to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food production, menu planning, and team management. Duties: - Plan and execute menus in collaboration with the management team - Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking techniques - Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards - Monitor food production to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes - Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines - Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials - Manage food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing ingredient usage - Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu offerings
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
Should have excellent knowledge of Indian food
Experience of fine dinning and plating techniques
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation
Excellent understanding of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
