Head Chef - Wine Bar and Restaurant The Borough Maidenhead
We are a small, independently owned wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Maidenhead looking to serve contemporary seasonal, ingredient-led food alongside our classic cocktails as well as wide selection of wines.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Head Chef with modern dining experience and knowledge of contemporary cuisine. You will have a level of autonomy and be able to operate in a small team to start with, working towards the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset whilst executing interesting dishes to be really proud of.
Closed Sundays and Mondays every week, open Tuesday & Weds in the bar for small plates and Thurs dinner and Fri and Sat lunch and dinner to ensure sensible work life balance.

Required Skills:
As Head Chef you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen including:
All food production, stock management & wastage
Menu development
Staff training & retention
Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
Food safety & hygiene
The kitchen budget and GP
Maintain exceptional standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking
Experience Required
Good knowledge of British cuisine.
Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality
Creative flair & attention to detail
Positive and approachable manner
Meticulous, organised and punctual
Basic salary up to £40k + 25% Bonus and potentially equity in the business
