This successful independent restaurant group is looking for a self-motivated and well-organised Head chef for its 3 rd all-day café/restaurant opening soon. Set in a stunning central London Park this 150-cover venue is in the final stages of a complete refurbishment. The Kitchen will offer breakfasts, brunches, light lunches, bar snacks and flatbreads, the cafe will cater for both eat-in and takeaway customers.
Open from 8.00am until dusk, with extended hours and offerings for summer evenings that will include informal park dining, jazz and pizza nights etc.The food and dishes are fresh and thoughtfully crafted, menus are seasonally driven, with an emphasis on quality and provenance. Our food has a fantastic reputation and we are hoping to find the right candidate to grow with us, evolve our style and contribute directly.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen, including:
Managing and training the team of up to 5 chefs and KPs
Kitchen service
Driving sales
Quality assurance
Food G.P.
Stock management
Health, Safety and Hygiene
Compliance with statutory regulations and legislation
Promoting the goals of the organisation on a daily basis with each employee
Required skills and experience:
Minimum of 2 years as a Head Chef in a similar unit
Boundless energy and enthusiasm
Strong team leader
Customer focused
Financially aware
We are looking for anenthusiastic professional Head Chef capable of running an efficient all-day kitchen, leading by example, and mentoring staff. Youmust be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team, working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount. Previous experience in a similar unit is essential, as is catering for high volumes.
Benefits:
Salary: £18.00 p/h depending on experience (£39-£41K)
