Head Chef

We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative, energetic and dynamic Head Chef to join our team at an iconic events venue in Central London.
At Good Eating Company, we produce fresh food from quality ingredients with a beautifully simple approach. W e are focused on continuing to deliver the definitive standard in workplace dining, and providing service that exceeds expectations and a unique experience to our clients and customers.
About the Role
40 hours per week, some flexibility around weekends required
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Reporting to our Executive Head Chef and working with our Food Development team to plan and implement a vibrant, daily changing menu
Produce beautifully simple simply beautiful dishes and menus
Work alongside an industry leading team who operate with integrity and respect; supporting our community; actively embracing our sustainability and CSR targets
Manage the kitchen to achieve financial targets, ensuring effective stock management and wastage control
Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Allergen & Environmental legislation

About you
A love for food, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients and local suppliers
A strong leader, with an ability to inspire and motivate your team
Ability to deliver and maintain standards in line with our company vision and values; every time, without compromise
Financial understanding of dish costings, gross profit and stock taking
Proactive time management skills
Embraces and keeps up to date with market trends, styles and new ideas
Basic understanding of Outlook, Excel & Word
Deliver what you promise to the customer, client & your team

The Good Eating Company was cooked up around the kitchen table, over several bottles of Ribera del Duero. We had the dream of bringing restaurant-quality food to corporate dining at a time when uninspiring sandwiches and soggy salads were all that were typically on offer.
Since then, the team have been delivering food and drink services to an impressive menu of clients up and down the country.
We no longer work around a kitchen table, but our approach remains the same: moreish food, quaffable drinks and good company
