The village is in a beautiful setting, with a thriving community which includes apartments and bungalows allowing our residents to live as independently as they desire in their own homes.We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our team as *Head Chef**Job Description*The Head Chef will ensure that all food preparation and dishes are not only in keeping with our brand and meet the expectations of our residents, but also comply with food safety compliance and legislation. The role holder will be responsible for the recruitment, management, training, development and motivation of their team. In addition, you will have been responsible for menu design and development, food preparation, food and allergy safety, managing a small brigade, budgets and stock control. As a senior member of the management team, you will also be comfortable meeting with your customers to listen to and discuss feedback.*Responsibilities** Responsible for the Kitchen operation at all times.* To ensure that in the preparation and presentation of food, the highest standards are maintained at all times.* To constantly focus on guest care and service.* To be fully knowledgeable with the menu and to be adaptable with continual changes to ensure that the menu is kept in line with customer demands and Company policies.* To ensure all dishes are prepared to a consistent specification to ensure quality is upheld at all times.* To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations*Qualifications** NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a catering related subject* First aid (Desirable)* COSHH (Desirable)*Hours*Minimum of 37.5 hours per week 5 days out of 7 day rota, with a minimum of 2 evenings a week.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £32,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* Discounted or free food* Free parking* Health & wellbeing programme* Life insurance* On-site parking* Referral programme* Store discountSchedule:* Day shift* Weekend availabilityExperience:* Chef/SousChef: 2 years (preferred)Work authorisation:* United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person
