Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, managing and training kitchen staff, creating and implementing menu items, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining inventory and ordering supplies.
You will have previous experience working as part of a quality driven, culinary team, at Head Chef level within a reputable establishment.
Along with day-to-day team management, as Head Chef you will also be an ambassador for the business and fully embrace our values, supporting the team and perfecting the guest experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Crafting together with the senior management an overall vision and plan for the food at The Bradley Hare.
Designing innovative restaurant menus, dishes, and eating experiences to meet the vision of The Bradley Hare.
Sourcing quality, unique ingredients for the menus from local suppliers.
Develop and maintain The Bradley Hare vegetable garden so it delivers a variety of ingredients that will form part of our menu.
Supervise and coordinate the planning and service for complex events including weddings for +100 people.
Ensuring that the quality of food is consistently high and that hygiene standards are exceeded.
Organising, employing, training and motivating staff in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor.
Organising budgets and finances for the kitchen including monthly stock takes.
Assisting kitchen staff with daily food preparation and mise en place.
Qualifications and experience
Level 3 Catering and Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
Have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner with a growth mindset.
A passion for current food trends including growing and foraging items that go onto our menu.
Experience in a leadership role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
A passion for various cooking methods, techniques, and cuisines.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain food quality and consistency.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage and train kitchen staff.
Self-motivated with strong organisational, leadership and planning skills.
Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
You must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
