Head Chef (TAR) - Grangemouth, Petrochemical Site

Hours - Monday to Friday 07:00 AM - 14:30 PM

Contract Duration: First Term - 3rd June to 19th July/ Second Term - 12th August to 4th October

Major Recruitment are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations in our clients Grangemouth location. The ideal candidate eill have a passion for food, exceptional culinary skills, and proven leadership abilities. This role requires ensuring the highest of food quality, hygiene, and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and prepare a varied and nutritious menu in line with dietary requirements and preferences.

* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, managing schedules and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness, adhering to all health and safety regualtions.

* Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients.

* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to guarantee consistent quality.

* Implement and enfore kitchen policies, procedures, and standards.

* Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.

* Monitor and control kitchen budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

* Address any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.

* Food Hygiene Level 2 certification is mandatory.

* Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and trends.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

* MUST pass a drug and alcohol test to be eligible to work on-site.
