Company information My client is a national contractor that in addition to other specialist services i.e., facilities, are also providing catering services into education, healthcare, business, prisons, and leisure. They are an American business that also heavily operate in the UK and has achieved consistent growth year after year by keeping the core values and passion for hospitality. An opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to join their catering team based at one of their defense contracts in Camden area.
The catering department consists of 3 kitchens messes which provide the following:
Officers Mess: 3-10 covers
Sergeants Mess- 2- 5 covers
Juniors Mess: 30 covers for breakfast, 120 covers lunch, 20-30 covers for dinner- plated service
In addition to the day-to-day dining, they also cater for events from high profile dinners, canapes, drink receptions etc. up to 120 max and summer parties up to 150
Duties as Head Chef You will be supporting the general manager with the day to day running of the catering operations and events with a full team of approx. 7 staff. This is a kitchen based role and will be required to cook and managing the kitchen operations including H&S, allergens and some book work. You will report to the catering manager
The ideal Head Chef will have proven management skills, a real passion for fresh food and previous client liaison experience. Enhanced DBS required and 5 years background checks once passed 12 weeks probation period via PRS- Phoenix Resourcing Services
