This is an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Lecturer in Neurointensive Care funded by the Hayler Bequest, to drive forward clinical and academic research in neurointensive care within a strong neurosciences unit and in proximity to others who are interested in researching the profoundly ill patient. This is an opportunity to shape the direction of clinical neurointensive care research at St. George’s, where neuroscience is a priority area for both St George’s, University of London and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the Research Institute of Neurosciences & Cell Biology at St George’s, University of London (SGUL) and will have an honorary clinical consultant contract at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The focus of the role will be to establish a nationally and in due course internationally competitive research programme, but the specific area of research will depend on the individual recruited. At least part of the research will be translational or clinical in nature.
