Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our successful Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) team within the Global Sensors Mission Area. This role involves creating Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market. Based at Raytheon's Harlow facility, with a weekly hybrid split working model, you'll report directly to the APNT Digital Hardware Engineering Lead.Main Duties:Schematic generation, PCB design, component selection, evaluation, and verification.Collaboration with system engineers and embedded software engineers on electronic subsystem architectures.Development of requirements ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Generation of supporting design documentation and conducting regular technical reviews.Candidate Requirements:Essential:Experience with embedded digital electronics, FPGAs, and microprocessor systems.Proficiency in designing PCBs conforming to defense engineering standards.Clear presentation of technical information and demonstrable problem-solving skills.Openness to learning new techniques and ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance.Desirable:Familiarity with the Xilinx chip family and experience using Mentor Xpedition PCB design tool.Understanding of systems engineering approach across the design and development life cycle.Experience creating DO254 compliant electronic systems and knowledge of APNT systems domainTraining and Development: Raytheon UK is committed to the growth and development of our employees.
