Company Description:
Our client is a technology startup that has recently raised a Series A and is rapidly growing in a new and emerging category. They are benefiting from strong tailwinds in this macroeconomic environment and are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Marketing to join their team.
Job Summary:
They are seeking a Growth Marketer with a founder’s mentality to be the founding member of the new Growth Marketing team. This person demonstrates a track record of driving pipeline and revenue and a good understanding of the market. You will be familiar with email as a marketing channel and ideally be familiar with automation tools like Clay.
Partnering closely with sales, you’ll launch new experiments daily to help us go from 0>1.
Tasks
Drive a pipeline of US, UK and European technology companies with up to 250 people You’ll run campaigns and experiments across multiple channels to hit aggressive pipeline targets.
Build a playbook for rapid experiments, primarily using email to generate demand and drive conversions
Manage multiple experiments operating in parallel
Document and scale what works
Be ready to aggressively expand the team as you find plays and strategies that work
Requirements
A hacker’s mentality. You obsess over finding novel ways to hit goals—even when the conventional wisdom says you’re wrong.
2-5 years of experience in growth marketing. B2B experience and a track record with using email as a channe is strongly preferred. We’ll expect you to operate autonomously.
Ability to build systems. You know how to understand existing growth systems and leverage them to build new system
Ability to navigate through ambiguity. You know where we need to go, but recognize it won’t always be a straight path to get there.
Extreme autonomy and ownership. As the first hire in the team, we’ll expect you to be able to operate autonomously to hit your goals.
Strong attention to detail. You can dive into the weeds and pick up on the seemingly small, yet important, details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You’ll be working on this with one of the company's founders who has a passion for hacking growth
Bias for speed. They move very quickly because 'it's just more fun'.
