Established over 40 years ago, a growing business which delivers high quality produce, supplying a wide variety to major retailers across the UK. This organisation is looking to expand their farming team by adding a Growing Manager to work very closely with dedicated growers right through from crop planning to storage and packing of the end product.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead in all aspect of growing and monitoring a successful crop; field selection, inputs, and land management.
  • Plan the Planting campaign to ensure continuation of supply at harvest using variety and timing choice.
  • Ensure machinery is ready and adequate for the operation to minimise down time through the planting season.
  • Understanding the impact on farming's profitability and taking part in daily veg meetings.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Have knowledge of BASIS (Cash Price - Futures Price)
  • Experience of working in an environment where the end supplier is retailers.
