Job Title: Group safety Health Environment and Quality Advisor 
Salary:  Up To £40,000
Location: On-site role located in Haydock, North West.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5.00pm

My client is the leading building envelope contractors in the Northwest, known for our innovative approach and master craftsmanship. They specialise in traditional metal products such as zinc, copper, and stainless steel, but over the past decade, we have extended our expertise to cover the whole of the external building envelope. We work on the most prestigious building development projects, delivering to the highest specifications.
Role Description
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with managing the training and development of employees reporting to: Group Head of SHEQ. This is a full-time on-site role located in Haydock, Northwest. The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, designing and implementing training plans for all employees to meet (at a minimum) the competencies for their role in line with the Building Safety Act.
Qualifications and Skills



  • Training & Development and Learning Management skills

  • Leadership Development skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate solutions

  • Ability to build rapport with employees

  • Assertive communicator and influencer, tailoring communication styles to the target audience

  • Previous experience within a similar role

  • CIPD Qualification or equivalent is a plus

  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus


In this role as the Group SHEQ Advisor, you will:



  • Conduct site audits.

  • Maintain Group Management System Standards.

  • Liaise with Group Training and Development Manager on Training requirements.

  • Explore innovative health and safety initiatives.

  • Create a positive safety culture.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge on industry guidance and statutory requirements.
     


Requirements as the Group SHEQ Advisor:



  • Nebosh General certificate or Nebosh Construction certificate

  • Ideally, a background in construction
    However, we welcome health and safety experience from other industries and offer mentorship opportunities.
