Crest Nicholson has been building new homes for over 60 years and is firmly established as a leading developer with a passion for not just building homes, but creating vibrant sustainable communities.Crest Nicholson are recruiting for a Group Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.You will be part of the central quality assurance team delivering a mix of support services to Divisional operations and Group assurance and compliance monitoring.Working closely with the Division to ensure that the processes and systems we develop are practical and consistently delivered across the group to help ensure our customers receive a high-quality new home product.Key Responsibilities:Standard Process & Systems Development - Contribute to the development of our QA standards, processes and systems.Operational support - Train, coach and support operational teams in delivering to expectations.Group Assurance - Monitor compliance with key QA controls and KPI’s, including other stakeholder standards (NHBC/Premier etc).Product Quality Assurance – Such as Off-site manufacture and key on-site components.Delivered in an agile way, largely site based (multiple locations) with mix of office, manufacturing facility and occasional home-based activity.Responsibilities listed above expanded on below.Standards Process & Systems DevelopmentContribute towards the review and update of the Quality Management System, Good Practice Guide, Fire Safety Performance Policy, Build Manual and Quality & Customer Service ProcessContributor towards any working groups on build and systems compliance improvementOperational SupportInduct new staff in the Quality Management System - policies and processes, and the high levels of customer satisfaction expected at Crest NicholsonEnsure by training and coaching that the site team (Build Managers and
Site/Assistant/Trainee
Managers) are consistently implementing Crest processes and systems as required. For example:Recording System to demonstrate Build Stage Quality Compliance and capture of evidenceCapture of evidence as laid out in the Quality policy and procedures which set out the required evidence to be capturedEnsure the Build/Site Manager can arrange sub-contractor set up of Recording System through IT ServicesGroup AssuranceThrough Site Quality Inspections, visit sites at all stages of construction to ensure we and our supply chain are complying with regulatory requirements and our standards, drawings, and specificationsCheck through Site Quality Inspections the use of Recording System for Build Stage Quality Compliance against the Quality Dashboard and agree any improvement action plans to achieve agreed compliance targetsUtilise reporting tools and services from external organizations such as NHBC and Premier, customer satisfaction reports to achieve complianceAudit systems utilisation for key evidence requirements such as:Sub-contractor evidence for fire protection and insulationCheck compliance to the Fire Safety Performance Policy and Quality & Customer Service ProcessCheck snagging is being managed and closed and investigate root cause of any defectsProduct Quality AssuranceOff-Site Manufacture site visits and audits.Critical component and building performance requirementsWhat are we looking for in a successful candidate?Experience in the construction/home building industryBuilding regulations and new home warranty standardsStrong communication, coaching and training skillsCSCS cardInternal auditor (desirable)Practitioner Level of the Chartered Quality Institute (PCQI) or equivalent/working towards (desirable)Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including TeamsProactive, self-starter, able to work on own initiative or within teamGood understanding of Operational IT systems to record build complianceThe CompanyCrest Nicholson is a leading developer of quality homes and thriving, sustainable communities.We create great places for our customers to live, selecting desirable locations for our developments and taking a holistic approach to the design of our homes and their surroundings.Attractive placemaking helps us deliver appealing and well-connected communities where people and nature can thrive.As an employer of choice, we offer an extensive range of benefits, to include:Company Bonus SchemePrivate pension up to 12.5%Private healthcare and cash plan options28 days' annual leaveCycle to work schemeShare save schemeWe are an inclusive employer; the Company will consider flexible working requests for all roles.We seek to be an ethical and progressive employer which encourages a culture of openness, creativity and continuous professional development and which rewards the effectiveness and loyalty of our employees as an equal opportunities employer.
