We have reached 300 people and are continuing to grow resulting in a need to expand and mature our finance function. The functional strategy includes the need for an experienced Project Controller to take ownership of the business’s new WIP management system. This includes managing all aspects of the project/contract life cycle from bid through to delivery and closure.
The role will involve working with cross-functional stakeholders from around the group and requires someone passionate about data.Group Project Controller
We are seeking an experienced Project Controller to own and drive our newly implemented WIP/job management software across the business. You will be the main point of contact and responsible for smooth rollout and optimization of this critical system.Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of the software. Create bid coding structure and manage bid status through PQQ process. Convert secured projects to live status with budgets assigned.
Manage project baseline changes and change control processes. Conduct reviews. Collaborate with Finance on rate cards for accurate costing.
Enforce timesheet discipline and run reporting. Partner with HR on organizational data integrity. Handle client paperwork and billing.
Assign project costs and reconcile against accounting. Generate insightful management reports to inform resourcing and budgets.
Fully close finished projects. Run lessons learned analyses for continuous improvement. Maintain organized documentation.
Preferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience
Project controls and commercial management experience in engineering or construction
Knowledge of software desirable; Power BI reporting a plus
Working towards APM/PMP/Prince2 qualifications valued
Strong communication skills essential
