Group Management Accountant

The Management Accountant will be a key player in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of month-end financial reporting processes. You will take a hands-on approach in preparing monthly Board reporting, management information, analysing data and providing insights and support to the business.Client DetailsOur client is a leading business based in north Bristol, they are currently looking to hire a Group Management Accountant on a permanent basis. They are offering a salary of £45,000 + bonus + benefits and work on a hybrid basis. DescriptionThe Group Management Accountant will be responsible; Monthly review of the P&L accounts and reconciliation of the balance sheet.Processing the Group month-end close including posting accruals, prepayments and journals.Calculating monthly commissions, including verifying and reconciling payments to contracts.Develop monthly reviews with key budget holders to ensure the monthly P&L and Cost reporting is fully reflective of business activity.Assist the Group Financial Controller with the preparation of the monthly accounts, board reports and departmental reviews.Management of the Microsoft Navision accounting system (accounts payable and receivable and general ledger), with appropriate supervision and guidance to the finance team.Daily monitoring of bank accounts and cash-flow management including sales ledger financing.Completing statutory returns for Companies House, HMRC etc including completing VAT returns, EC Sales List and Intrastat reporting as appropriate.Assistance and support provided to the FP&A manager with the preparation of Group business plans, forecasts and function budgets.Assisting the Group Financial Controller with the preparation of the Group and legal entity year-end financial statements and audit.Manage the preparation of the monthly Board PackBe a key player in system and process improvement projects, as requiredProfileThe successful candidate will either be qualified or at the late stages of study (QBE candidates will also be considered)Job OfferA salary of up to £45,000 + bonus + excellent benefits is on offer to the successful candidate for the Group Management Accountant role.
