Role:Group Financial Controller – Malmaison & Hotel du Vin
Salary:Competitive Salary & Benefits
Location:Office Based (Cromwell Road, London), Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our finance team as Group Financial Controller for Malmaison & Hotel du Vin, which consists of a portfolio of 38 luxury lifestyle boutique hotels across the UK. In this newly created position, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer EMEA, you will play an integral role in driving the performance of the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin businesses with a focus on managing and overseeing key aspects of periodic reporting, transactional processing, external and internal audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, central overheads and finance transformation projects.
As Group Financial Controller, you will be the face of group finance for Malmaison & Hotel du Vin and will be pivotal in transforming and leading a team of direct reports to drive efficiencies and value add outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, talented, and experienced financial professional to lead the group finance function of a dynamic and progressive hotel and hospitality business.
What we’re looking for:
Qualified Accountant (ACA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the hotels, hospitality or retail (multi-site) industry
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards (IFRS)
Preferred exposure in a listed company or complex business structure
Experience with cost transformation and efficiency improvements
Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of finance
professionals
Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis and driving business
performance through effective financial management
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders
Strong team player who can demonstrate an ability to take ownership of work streams and able to work independently
Experience with financial systems and software, preferably with experience in ERP systems such as SAP and Cognos.
Demonstrable experience of process improvements across multiple teams and stakeholders
Demonstrable experience of building high-performing teams and of acting as a credible, trusted business advisor
Exceptional presentation skills
High level of competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and other relevant software
A rigorous and methodical approach with an eye for detail
