On a mission to help you live inspired.Role Purpose:We are searching for an ambitious, innovative and thoughtful leader to inspire, develop and grow our Finance team. You’ll report to the VP, Finance and you will be responsible for all things finance, managing a growing team and crucially leading the business through a period of rapid growth and delivering on a number of high-profile finance projects including exit readiness. You will need to be hands-on in your approach with a clear ‘roll your sleeves up’ mentality as you will have a broad remit including reporting, tax, ad-hoc analysis, and fundraising support. You’ll be part of a commercially-minded finance team, managing the reporting and controls function. The post would be a key influencer of the Senior Leadership Team and has additional leadership responsibilities in shaping the future vision and execution of the company. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and prides themselves on implementing order and process in a maturing multi-regional organisation, this could be the position for you. Key Accountabilities:Deputising for the VP Finance regularly, acting as a key advisor for ExCo and a leader within this team and the business, and helping to prepare the business for exit in the medium term Supporting the VP Finance in developing the Finance function, identifying the critical elements of the Finance blueprint and maturing the overall operating model for Finance Building and maintaining strong relationships with the board and risk/audit subcommittees as well as banks, auditors, regulators, advisors, and other key stakeholders Ensuring Curve builds a world class accounting and reporting function and taking responsibility for an effective and highly automated financial control environment across all our businesses Taking responsibility for preparing our annual report and accounts, monthly consolidated financial statements and our monthly board packs Managing and delivering on our regulatory reporting commitments, across a number different jurisdictions and regulators (including the UK FCA and Bank of Lithuania) Ensure Curve is fully compliant with all applicable financial regulation e.g. tax and regulatory reporting requirements Ensure Curve identifies and proactively manages all financial risks, which may impact the business objectives Designing, building and implementing world class financial systems to support and automate our reporting and MI as we expand internationally and manage increasing complexity of the group Managing, supporting and developing more junior members of the team to actively train and improve staff knowledge and empower colleagues to take the next step in their careerRequirementsACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified (or equivalent) with 8+ years PQE Solid experience at Financial Controller level, to include: people management, core technical accounting (under IFRS and UK GAAP), and commercially-focused budget management Experience managing reporting across multiple geographies and building and integrating systems to support international expansion required Experience establishing new processes and procedures in short timeframes and clear track record of simplifying existing processes Relevant industry experience within Fintech, Financial Services, Payments Experience with multiple financial accounting systems (preferably NetSuite) and rapid iteration/agile working would also be highly desirable Excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills, as well as ability to multitask and lead several projects in a dynamic environment Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of functional areas Excellent coaching skills with the ability to provide empathy and guidance to the other members of the finance team and ensuring their continuing development You're curious, enthusiastic, adaptable, hands-on and excited by a rapidly-changing environment Experience in a growth-stage company, ideally in the financial technology space (nice to have)Familiarity with the implementation of COSO/SOX-compliant control framework & US GAAP (nice to have)Curve Life:Competitive salary with employee share options package.Free Curve Metal subscription for you and +1Get Smarter:10 days per year for training and conferencesHealth and Wellbeing:Life insuranceGlobal work abroad policyLife coachingEAP services24/7 GP accessAnnual subscriptions to Calm & FIIT for your mind and bodyDiscounted gym membership.Ride to work schemeElectric car schemeSeason ticket loanBonus days off for your birthday, moving house and ChristmasSix nights of Night Nanny for new parents
